Does Size Really Matter? | Raleigh, North Carolina | Boudoir Photographer
If you’re looking in the mirror and thinking to yourself, I’ll drop a size or two and then have a Boudoir Experience I want you to ask yourself why. There’s nothing wrong with having that as a goal but tying it into your happiness or how you feel about yourself shouldn’t be your reasoning behind wanting to drop a few sizes. Believe it or not, I’ve photographed size 2 women who’ve been harder on themselves than size 22 women. The numbers here are just arbitrary. They are just there to make a point. You can feel just as good (or bad) about yourself no matter the number. Because of this, I say to just throw that number out the window because it’s completely meaningless. Not to sound too repetitive, but it’s something that I think needs to be repeated. It’s not your size that matters, it’s how you feel about yourself that truly matters!
Those that I’ve photographed have all walked away from their session with their head held higher and had a newfound confidence. All of that is because I gave them a chance to view themselves how their husband, wife, significant other, friend, or a stranger sees them. A Boudoir Experience is a chance for you to see yourself how everyone else does. It’s a perfect way to remind yourself when your standing in front of the mirror about to nitpick part of yourself that only you are seeing those things. It’s time to start celebrating our bodies rather than tearing them down or being ashamed of them!
Don’t forget to read what Miss D had to say about her experience and how the images made her FEEL about herself.
